Challenges

Today was the last day of the 182nd General Conference.
As usual, I feel uplifted and challenged to be a better person.
I love that challenge.
The challenge to change, to grow, to be a better person, a better mom, and better wife.
I love the call to action, to strengthen our testimonies, be better example and missionaries.
I felt all of that today while I listened to the wonderful speakers.
Plus today was neat because 1. Liam now knows and understands who the prophet it and 2. He cuddled with me for more than half of the afternoon session, which I l.o.v.e.d. He is so active and always playing, so cuddle session are far and few between. It was so special.

I also decided to accept a different kind of challenge. I saw this on facebook, and decided that this is just the inspiration I need to start my "Project 365" again! I am excited to do this!

 So here is day #1:
My reflection in the mirror in our bedroom
 And my last challenge.
Try not to be miserable the last few months before our move.
Don't get me wrong.
Even though it's small, I love our apartment (small is nice because it cleans up fast)
I l.o.v.e our friends and ward
I love that I know the grocery store like the back of my hand
I love the people of ID
but
I do not love the weather. And that really gets to me.
Me and my family, love to be outside, playing and enjoying the beauty of our world. But this weather, 9-10 months out of the year is so horrible, you are stuck inside. And It's really getting to me.
Like for example today.
Everyone in the family was feeling cooped up and needed out. So we bundled up the kids in snow suits, huge coats, 3-4 blankets per kid and decided to walk to the park which is less than a 5 minute walk away to feed the ducks. We were stoked. But then after about 3 minutes into our walk, we decided we couldn't go any longer.
Brielle was crying because despite her snow suit and 4 blankets, she was freezing and the wind kept taking away her breath. Their faces were red from the frigid wind, and everyone's fingers and faces hurt.
Let's say I didn't have kind words or thoughts about this city the entire time we ran back home.

Those are the challenges I give myself that I have been thinking about lately.
What are yours?

    1. Haha! Yeah I am a little afraid about those couple months of super hot summers! Luckily we have a big pool at the complex we are most likely going to live and AC! I can't wait to see you!!! It's been more than 2 years since I saw you last!!! The plan right now is to get to AZ around the 22nd or 23rd of July! :)
